  • Comments Thread For: Ruslan Provodnikov is Ready For Tim Bradley Challenge

PHILADELPHIA, PA —WBO Number-two ranked Jr. Welterweight contender Ruslan Provodnikov would like an opportunity at WBO Welterweight champion Timothy Bradley in December.

There have been rumblings of a possible matchup for Provodnikov, 22-1 with fifteen knockouts of facing Bradley and he and his team feel the time is now for the potential big fight.

Naw. He should fight the Herrera/Mayfield winner, and than maybe the Rios/Alvarado winner.

I guess he is as ready as he will ever be because he will probably only get worse.

Bradley will have an easy time with him though~

It would be a good opportunity for him. But this is by far my least favorite matchup out of all of the possibilities for 12/15.

I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see Ruslan pull off the upset. Tim is a midrange fighter with good handspeed and combos but no power. Ruslan is quite similar and is relentless, tough as hell and has good power. I could see Provodnikov's body punching being the difference here so long as he doesn't get any bad swelling or cuts which he is prone to. I can't see Tim safely outboxing him from the outside, he'll have to step into Rulsan's world.
