  • How do you compare Rick Ross to Biggie?

And I don't mean both being fat lol

Rick Ross has consistently put out classic albums/tracks year after year. I'm not just talking letting the beat of the song make the song. I'm talking lyrically also.

The following are all classic albums in my opinion:

    Port of Miami
    Trilla
    Deeper Than Rap
    Teflon Don

I don't mean classic as in having 1 or 2 good songs on the album. I mean classic as in you let the whole CD play from front to end with the exception of Deeper Than Rap.

Then you count his singles out right now in 2012 (one track with Khaled) such as:

Dude is making history and great music. He's slowly but surely getting up there as rap's best.

    Thoughts?

Rick Ross is better to me than Biggie.

He will surpass Biggie's legacy soon enough

Honestly, comparing them is an insult to BIG.

Biggie is a GOAT of the genre, has two classics (Rick Ross has no classics btw), and arguably had the best flow of all time.

Ross is nowhere near BIG's level, and never will be.

All that being said, I enjoy Ross' music, and I cant wait for GFID.

just this track right here is IMO better than most of Ross's work

The comparison is laughable. I have yet to hear a Ross album (or song) top either Ready to Die or Life After Death. Ross is dope in his own right, but lyrically he'll never touch BIG.

                wow this is ridiculous...

panda likes ross...even went to see him a couple of months ago in amsterdam but the guy showed no class coming in blazed out of his mind, 2 hours late and not even performing his best work

he should stick to producing which is what he does best

Trilla, Teflon Don, and Ross's first album all go hard. I'd say 90% of the tracks on each album go hard.

I can see myself in 10 years still listening to his very first album several years ago.

                  IMO, that's a classic.
