Pavlik's whole life went south after what happened with Hopkins. I always felt that Lowe and Arum convinced Pavlik that Hopkins was well past it, as a means of making him think it was easy sailing. Then Hopkins beats the skin off him and he was never the same. Top Rank hasn't risked a fight in a long time solely off what happened with Hopkins and Mosley, At the end of the day, I think the cancellation is an excuse to cash out and not risk his last big purse with Bute by losing or looking terrible again.

Pavlik is a messed up waste of a human being. just take a moment and look at him all tattoed up still training at home with an inept trainer and an alcolohic that buys his own bar. i totally agree that kessler should get more than pavlik.
kessler brings more european money in comparison to pavlik's youngstown crowd.... sadly, pavlik holds no negotiating power at this point... he shouldve taken the 50k.... then finish strong with the 1.5mil with bute... either way, bute would school pavlik.

Pavlik has no direction but living in Youngstown can do that. Being a drunk with money in a small town with no guidance is terrible. just look at the tattoes and the drained emaciated look on the poor kid. Pavlik has choose to dance with satan and that usually doesn't end up well.
