  • [LMAO!] Monsanto's Own Employees Wont Eat GMO Food

    http://www.independent.co.uk/environ...en-737948.html

So the story is old 1999 old well what did Monsanto say to this claim?

    http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread805525/pg1

They said it was true but only to offer their employees choice. So then why are they fighting against gmo labeling?

Monsanto spent more than 5 million to stop a gmo labeling bill in Oregon.

Monsanto has spent 25 million to combat a california gmo labeling bill.

Its a business sure and I an respect that. Labeling can hurt their profits. Interestingly Pepsico, Dupont, and CocaCola have donated to the Monsanto anti gmo labeling campaign.

Well that was in 1999 at a pharmaceutical factory in the UK. In the UK and the rest of the European Union GM food has to be labelled by law.

Also if you read the article the cafeteria has not banned GM food as claimed by Friends of the Earth, it has a sign up saying that some of the food sold contains GM food. Because, as I said earlier, there is a legal duty to label GM food sold in the EU.

Honestly labeling GM food doesn't make much difference. Most people wouldn't change their buying habits and anyone who cares is already buying their hemp granola and dandelion piss-water from health food stores.

If it makes no difference then why spend over 30 million dollars fighting bills that would make labeling mandatory? Wait for it. Money talks bull**** walks. They stand to lose profits by making labeling necessary because the thought of genetically modified corn grown with pesticides in it is not very appetizing.

I would guess it to be a concern for Monsanto and other companies using GMO's, when consumers start realizing that they are not only feeding themselves, but their families, by-products that are impregnated with insecticides.
This is also, an opportunity for Monsanto to get ahead of the rolling snowball, now that Round-up resistant crops are dictating the use of a stronger Agent-Orange derivative in the very near future.

                    Total madness!!!!!
