Robert Garcia, trainer of Antonio Margarito, is very confident that everyone in New York's Madison Square Garden will witness the crowning of a new champion when his boxer defeats Miguel Cotto for the second time to capture the WBA junior middleweight title on Saturday night. Their first fight happened in July 2008 in the welterweight division. Margarito won the bout with an eleven round technical knockout.

True, he's looked slower at 154. Yet, Cotto still has 100X Margarito's hand speed.

Its amazing how much hype and importance they have given to Cottos comments. Its like if his words really itched Margaritos Camp.
I can only say one thing this is going to be a more energetic and tense fight than what Mayweather and ortiz did.

Why can't Margarito remove his sun glasses when talking to media and can't face Cotto eye to eye..is he hiding something..

The winner of this fight all depends on Cotto, how he fights & what he's willing to do. It's still the same Margarito coming to fight, minus his extra power & a chin that has sustained constant abuse as of late.

Tough tough fight for Cotto. His overall workrate in this fight will be just as impressive as the first one. Not the pace, but his technique and ring generalship should win him the day unless he's caught with something big. Based on training camp footage, he also looks willing to back Margarito up and stand his ground, rotating when he needs to.
