  • Why do UFC fans keep trying to shove the MMA Agenda down boxing's throat?

    Anyone know why this is?

Every time I turn around someone on this forum is trying to convince others that MMA is taking over boxing and that boxing is dead....

    Can this be explained....

Are they disappointed at the fact that boxing isn't going anywhere? I mean it's been dying since the 80's and 90s if you listen to the chatter...

I take it with a grain of salt....

      Same here man....

I keep getting into posting wars with people because they seem to for some reason want boxing fail and MMA to rise...

      Boxing isn't going anywhere....

MMA fans love shoving and receiving things in the throat.

It's just hipsters proclaiming the "old" thing to be dead and obselete just because they're bigger fans of the "newer" thing. Pretty much the opposite of blind nostagia, but just as annoying. I'm a big MMA/UFC fan, but I doubt boxing is going anywhere anytime soon.

I guess the question is why boxing fans are insecure little ******* when it comes to UFC?

I guarantee you any attendee of a UFC event would never change that experience for any boxing event. Boxing is a game of mismatches right now. Nobody is really legitimately fighting top dog after top dog. It just doesn't happen and hasn't since the days of Oscar dela hoya probably.

That's some sad ass crap. And the events are boring as fuk, the same old shyt over and over.

Since getting into the UFC, I have to admit that I now understand why those guys think boxing is boring.

But you'll never get it until you get into it on your own.

Straight forward. Same here. Example, I've followed UFC since the late 90s. I knew Robbie Lawler would be good during his second stint in the UFC because I had seen the tenacity had when he first entered the UFC.

I watched Strikeforce and WEC as well.

I just don't get these guys continually downing boxing on this forum...
