How much hip (if any) do most boxers put into their jab?

Is it standard procedure most of teh time to jab with teh hip or are most boxers most of teh time jabbing with the arm or rear leg push off?


Also how do you know how much hip to put into a jab when you do use the hip?

Not much, some like Cotto have a "step in" jab where they put a lot into their jabs, almost like a power punch. Most just flick it.
