Any of you Betas had Alkaline water? Ive always heard about it but never tried it until recently. I gotta say it does make you feel different. PH balance in your body is never talked about that much and it is important. So que pedo? whats your take on it?

I guess lemon water will be considered alkaline water... but that takes too much time to cut a lemon and add it to your bottle... I rather just make coffee...

What you eat is just as important. Alkaline forming foods. Basically just means eat more vegetables, less processed foods. Not so much meat and fat.
But yes, the alkalinity of your body matters for health. Cancer cells thrive in an acidic body.

Seriously ?
Anyone who wastes money on this is as beta as it gets.
You Cannot! I repeat cannot change the Ph of your body!!
Your body strictly controls the ph to between 7.35-7.4.
It's called acid/base homeostasis.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid–base_homeostasis
All the enzymes in the body are designed to function at this level. If you could somehow make your body more alkaline you would be in the ICU or dead.
All you're doing is making your pee more alkaline.
Also the cancer thing is Internet woo as well.
Cancer has been grown in vitro at in very alkaline environments.
Again all cancers grow in the slightly alkaline level of 7.35-7.4 as this is the ph of everybody's blood and intercellular fluid.
Where the myth comes from is that cancer cells produce free H+ ions and therefore if grown in vitro the will reduce the Ph. In the body however the Ph is strictly controlled and swil not change cancer or not.
Why anyone would think having high levels of OH+ ions in your body would be a good thing is beyond me.Last edited by Furn; 08-30-2016, 06:46 PM.
