    United States Tax Rate (For single people, slightly lower for married couples)
    Income Tax
    $0-10,000, 10%
    $10,000 - $37,000, 15%
    $37,000 - $91,000, 25%
    $91,000 - $190,000, 28%
    $190,000 - $413,000 33%
    $415,000 + 39.6%

    With an average VAT (Sales Tax) of anywhere from 0-9% depending on the state.

    France Tax Rate

    Income Tax

    $6,700 0%
    $6,700 - $12,000, 5.5%
    $11,991 - $30,000, 14%
    $30,000 - $80,000, 30%
    $80,000 - $170,000, 41%
    $170,200 + 45%

    Frances sales Tax is roughly 20% on most goods, 33% on electronics, with 5.5% exception for food, medicine, and books


    United Kingdom

    Income Tax

    $0- 7,100, 0%
    $7,100 - 45,000, 20
    $45,000 to 215,000, 40%
    $215,000+, 45%

    UK's Sales Tax is 20%

    Scandinavian Countries Tax Rate (Norway, Sweden, Denmark)
    On average they all generally follow this formula

    $0-$45,000, 30%
    $45,000-$55,000, 50-55%
    $55,000+, 60%

    The sales tax is a flat 25%, also there is a TV tax of $450 a year.

    Germany's Sales Tax

    Income Tax


    $0-$8,500, 0%
    $8,500 - $58,000, 15%
    $58,000- $280,000, 40%
    $250,000+, 45%

    With a sales tax of 19%

      You forgot about the road tax in the UK. Used to live both there and Germany. Would move back to Germany if I could. Will probably retire there

        You need to update your UK one, Nobody in the UK pays income tax until after they've made £11,000 ($15,771)

                    That's misleading because you pay a **** load of other Taxes in USA plus every state add a tax plus every county adds a Tax all that **** adds up to over 40%


                    I think what you posted was just the income tax not many people make incomes of 400k
