I was at this event and as a boxing fan, I was excited. I ended up meeting Lennox Lewis, Vivian Harris, Errol Spence Jr, Prichard Colon, and Lucian Bute. I also spent a good amount of time speaking to some bald dude who works for Al Haymon. He said, due to the commission in Toronto, Ontario being hard to deal with and them having very tough regulations, they wont ever have another event here unless they loosen up a bit, that's why events usually end up in Montreal. It's more so due handwraps and how much padding they allow. They pretty much allow... not much tape and gauze at all. They are planning Garcia Vs Guerrero next at WW and he said, tune in for next year because there will be even bigger fights. I asked him if he knew anything about Khan Vs Provodnikov and he said he heard some things but, doesn't think its a good idea for Khan because he will get knocked out. I was surprised how approachable he was. Very easy to talk to, extremely nice as well. Anyone else went?

I thought about it but really had no interest in any of the fights. I saw some cheap tickets in kijiji but ultimately passed in the end. And yeah, there is no big action up here and won't be because their stupid stance on the gauze. It's utterly ridiculous. Sounds like haymons guy said as much. The last big fight I can remember was 14 years ago and involved freitas and Harry Simon at Rama. I went to that, and can't recall anything like that until now. Was there a big crowd? -
Wasn't really a big crowd. A lot of casual boxing fans there. As soon as I pointed out Lucian Bute and took a picture with him after the Jo Jo Dan fight, people who didn't know who he was, took pictures with him too. I only went because I won free tickets for the fight. Haymon's boy said, him and Al spoke and since the tape and gauze issue is so hard to deal with here, they don't plan to do it again. They'll just end up going to Montreal. The groupies followed Stevenson every where after he did some interviews. Tarver scooped up some chicks and left as well lol. I end up speaking to Al Haymon's associate for like a good half hour.Comment
