Resogun: Defenders will arrive this coming Tuesday, February 17. In the meantime, a free update for the PS4 twin-stick shooter will also arrive today.Resogun: Challengers overhauls the twin-stick shooter's progression system, allowing Final Fantasy XIV players to earn Challenge Points for completing new challenges across various game modes. Those Challenge Points can then be used to further level up, while also offering up some bragging rights. While Challenges must be completed in a single playthrough, the new update will also add Feats, which take cumulative accomplishments into account. These will come alongside the Human Gallery and Photo Mode, which are both included at no extra charge.As for Resogun: Defenders, the expansion is set to add two new game modes: Protector and Commando. The former will task Final Fantasy XIV players with protecting the last of the human colonies, using a new planet flip mechanic, new environmental hazards, and new power-ups.
