  • Need help with my left jab to left hook combo!

First of all what jab do you use, I usually put hip rotation into my jab, but I presume you cant do that when following the jab with the hook because you need the hip ready to rotate quickly after you have landed the jab? (If you have jabbed with hip rotation you have to reset your hips before you can throw the hook which is slower)

Second question do you load up the hips before you throw the left hook? I presume you don't because that would be too slow? If you throw the hook straight from your stance after the jab and you have a fairly side on stance isn't your hook going to be too weak? Since it doesn't have much distance to accelerate up to speed?

    Thankyou.

can you have a masterthread for your questions?
    anyways..
to get power in both shots
step in with jab, rotate with hook.
do you load up for the hook, depends on speed/timing/opponents' position. if u can load up, why not? if u can't because the timing will be off, then dont...

or just throw a quick light jab, and use that to set up a loaded hook.. there are so many damn ways of throwing a jab hook...... just try it out and see wat works in which situations...
so in conclusion: it depends on situation AGAIN.
LIKE ALL UR DAMN QUESTIONS, IT DEPENDS.

SO ****ING MAKE A MASTERTHREAD PLS.

Yup, you're not supposed to load up your jab, the jab is just to get his hands up and to get you in. Light jab take a step and load the hook.

you can throw your jab with everything behind it, it will not affect your hook if you are turning over properly.

I'd rather shake the guy twice, rather than just once, and then drop the right hand on him.

The Kid can do as he pleases with these questions, one differs rom another enough to warrant a thread.

And who are you to command him, maybe we should make you put all of your answers in a master thread and label it 'generic training answers'.

                LOL
May your untrue and unjust words pave you a golden path to glory.

Why the need to jump on the Kid with your foul words and misguided opinions?
