I really want to see Mares ( ) beat the living **** out of Leo Santa Cruz. That's all I ask from the Boxing God's for now.

Never a good idea to set one's expectations too high, but I think if we get Mayweather/Pacquiao and Canelo/Cotto alone, we'll have far exceeded this year's worth.

I'd kind of like to see Santa Cruz lose too. I like him as a fighter, but I can't stand how some guys are content to just skate by fighting bums and collecting paychecks. I understand boxing is a business, but this is a guy with seemingly no ambition whatsoever. That Manuel Roman fight was a joke. And he looks like he's set up for yet another TBA opponent in January or February.

Exactly the way I see it, brother. I enjoy his style, he is great to watch but seriously, all those cookie cutter defenses he has been feeding us has me on the verge of diabetes. He is over 25 and has yet to have a significant fight in his career. Mares vs LSC would be extremely entertaining and I wholeheartedly believe it could lead to another great Mexican Trilogy. Let's see how it pans out, I heard both parties are quite interested. (Leo claims to be interested in everything and ends up fighting unranked fighters so I wouldnt put too much weight on his words, doe)

Sadly Leo Santa Cruz will probably fight his sparring partner Escandon for that interim WBA strap instead of fighting Quigg, Frampton, or Rigo.

I know his promoters won't match him with Rigo, so I would atleast want a Frampton fight. Other than that Leo Santa Cruz is a bore because he hasn't been in quality matchups.

              -Rigo/GGG/Kovalev becoming undisputed champions
              -Stevenson and Quillin getting KTFO
-Herrera winning a decision against a notable opponent
-Thurman facing a top opponent and proving his worth
-122lb division gets cleaned up with Quigg/Frampton/Santa Cruz fighting each other
-Chocolatito makes his debut on USA television (HBO, Showtime, etc.)
-More "little guy" match-ups on USA tv
              -Chavez gets destroyed and retires
              -Braehmer loses his belt
              -Taylor and Martinez retire
-Andrade mans up and takes the 154lb division over
              -Matthysse finally wins a belt

Yeah, I don't think his words mean much at all. Haymon fighters always say whatever they feel makes them look good in the public's eyes, but when it comes down to it big Al is still gonna set them up with 'gimme' fights. What I don't get is that these little fights never seem to lead to anything, at least not since Schaeffer left the picture. But guys like Garcia, Broner, Santa Cruz etc., will never become Pay-Per-View stars the way Floyd and Manny did if they don't take big fights. You don't build a fan base or legacy this way. To me it would be better business to put two big names in against each other knowing that the winner will have their career boosted to that next level, but it's like they're content to just stay where they are because it's safer that way.

Did I hear the word unification? What is that?

2015 is the year of Undisputed Champions if fights get made.

The loaded featherweight division, all four champs are amazing.
Mayweather-Pacquiao would determine THE Welterweight/P4P king.
                    Stevenson-Kovalev for Undisputed Light-Heavyweight
Golovkin targetting the other belts for Undisputed Middleweight
Klitschko could fight for the WBC belt unifying the entire Heavyweight division

That's 5 undisputed Champions which are all possible and we could easily see them all crowned by the Spring of 2016 if not earlier. A plus to these divisions is they aren't the super/light divisions.. these are original weightclasses!!
