  • Any PC Gamers?

I used to be big on it during the Windows XP days but I haven't been doing it much since FO3, which I still play from time to time. I'll be getting back into it soon once I get my build put together, which I'll post here when it's finished.

Here are the parts I'll be using:

That's pretty overkill in some aspects. Don't think it's really worth investing in a 'gaming' keyboard personally and that mouse isn't that good from what I hear. Also can't you download Windows? Also I don't know too many gamers that have soundcards, they do make a difference but not much. If money isn't an issue then go ahead though

PC gaming is where its at man, with a great system it's the shizzle.

      Whats FO3?

You like FPS? Try Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. It's probably got the highest learning curve due to the aiming aspect of the game but it's the best competitive FPS out there. If you want to play an FPS with amazing GFX go with Battlefield 4.

You like MMOs? Try World of Warcraft/Wildstar/Guild Wars 2.

You like card games? Try Hearthstone.

You like MOBAS? Try League of Legends, DotA2 or if you don't like the camera angle but like the genre then try Smite, I believe it's more noob friendly but it's a fun game with many different modes to keep you entertained. I've been a PC gamer since 2004, so been here for the beginning of many games.

Get Steam, make an account and play away.

Well what I left out is that I also plan on doing some audio/video stuff with that same computer since I'm in that industry, but yeah I already have a steam account and I plan on getting quite a few of the games you mentioned.

FO3= Fallout 3= one of the best games ever made.

I plan on getting BF4 but I've heard that's pretty hit or miss, esp compared to BF3 which was excellent imo.

Pretty noice. I've actually heard pretty good things about AMD despite how all the intel people tend to **** on it on computer forums & whatnot.

I don't know the exact details, but the AMD 8-cores should benefit me in time to come.

            also its cheaper

BF4 was AWFUL at the start apparently but it's improved as time has gone on. I played BF3 when it first came out and loved it, haven't really played much of BF4 it's more of a continuation of BF3.

Good deal you are future proofing yourself at least for a while with the i7-4790K . If you plan on doing serious gaming you are doing a good job to catch back up, and since you been out a while you will have quite a fun time with the new games and emulators floating around. I game on consoles as well but hardly have time right now for either I always keep my rig up to date "for work" anyways while in the back of my head Is all about being able to crush everything when I want to .

The only benefit you get is indeed that is cheaper. The bulldozer architecture is sub par when it comes to gaming their top of the line chip is on par with the I5 5670k for gaming tops . However if your rig wont be doing any serious gaming and great settings and all that really dont interest you then getting the best gaming processor is silly to begin with.

That case is probably the best case for that price, and one more thing you can buy Windows for $20 legit no BS and use the extra money for a 770.

I bought Windows 7 Home Premium for $15.
