WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs) was not impressed by Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's March TKO of Alfredo Angulo.

Canelo (43-1-1, 31KOs) battered Angulo from round to round until the referee had seen enough and stopped the match in the tenth round. Angulo looked slower than usual, there was no pop on his punches and he was unable to keep up with the younger fighter.

But last June, Angulo looked like a totally different fighter when he pushed Lara to his limit. He applied a lot of pressure and dropped Lara in the fourth and ninth rounds. In the tenth, Lara made Angulo quit after causing an eye injury with a perfectly timed counter.

God honestly, neither did I. What I saw was target practice for Canleo on a seemingly shot Angulo. Nelo gassing during the middle of the fight didn't help matters either.

He had better be ready for a full 12 next Saturday.

Any fighter in the world would say the same thing Lara has said. Every fighter has an ego and is confident in their abili****** which is why they fight to prove they are the best boxer. Anyways, Canelo is arrogant and not as humble as many think. Just look at him in the Mayweather fight. He didn't even want to take a picture with Mayweather at the weigh in. Smh!

He won't be. We all know Canelo has stamina issues, he's strong for like the first 4 rounds then by 7 he's breathing through his mouth, meanwhile Lara has excellent conditioning.
