I always wondered why Moore retired... Assumed it was health related... remember seeing the Rhodes fight and next time I saw Jamie he was in the Sky studios do a spot of punditry with retired under his name

Always loved Jamie Moore, and Matthew Hall, John Murray etc. Great representatives of my city.
(And, veering off a bit, I must admit I didn't see Matty Hall beating Carslaw the other week but he did. Maybe his career will get a second wind after all. He seems another top bloke who'd sit down and have a brew with you for half an hour. But that's how it is in Manchester - we were taught to be down to earth and respectful.)
Anyway, back to Jamie it's a shame for him how it ended. I'd have loved to have seen him against someone like Kirkland nowadays, but I'm glad he won't be getting punched in the head anymore. As it is, he's easily eloquent and knowledgeable enough for a role in commentary and punditry.Comment
