Nip/Tuck: Who is the Carver?

If you actually know for sure somehow, don't tell. Otherwise, anybody want to speculate?

I didn't see last week's episode. Just caught up last night on the first 2 episodes of Season 3. Watching last week's episode tonight at 10.

I think it might be Matt McNamara. If I had to make one definitive guess, I'd go with it being Matt. Christian Troy was supposedly molested by his dad so it'd only be fitting that he gets ****ed by his son. And it'd mirror the whole incest thing with Ava Moore and her/his son. The fact that Ava turned out to be a guy (although I'd call that the point where Nip/Tuck "jumped the shark") shows a weird parallel between Ava and her son and Christian and his father. The fact that the parent in each case ****ed their kid.

We know there has to be a strong link between the Carver and both Christian and Sean. We also know the Carver has raped some of his victims, so its probably a guy, although with this show that could be something to throw you.

Here are the prime suspects as I see them, in order:

1. Matt
2. Kimber
5. Gina (the sexoholic)
4. Jude (the guy having the affair with Julia)
5. Dr. Quentin Costa

I don't think it'll be Costa because it would be too obvious. He's the one they have there to make you think its him, I think. That's possibly the same with Jude. The only reason Jude was on that I can gather, besides to give another male suspect is to give Julia a vehicle to ask for a divorce from Sean.

Kimber at #2 just cause she could be the swerve. Both Sean and Christian ****ed Kimber plenty. Sean even ****ed her doll. Sean was the only one truly nice to her, so she might have just cut him. She really wanted to get to Christian through Sean. So maybe she sees her and Christian will never work and she's just out for revenge.

Also, it could be Gina if its a female. She might be pissed at the world for having HIV and losing Christian for good.

If its a female, it can be explained on this show because the Carver drugs the victim. A female could use a strap-on. I hope they don't go this way, but wouldn't put it past the writers for Nip/Tuck. After all, it is partially a dark comedy.

....My wife and I have gotten into that show in the last year. Matt was sure turned into one twisted ****. Still, I don't think he has the balls to be the carver. Even though it could be obvious, I am betting on Dr. Costa. He is an odd one to say the least. I could see it being Gina too if they decided to swerve us.

yeah after watching last weeks episode, getting caught up, it does seem like it isn't Matt.

heh, I thought you were coming on to give me **** for watching that show. It just seems way too obvious to me for it to be Costa. Maybe they want it to be obvious. Before I came online after watching Season 2 I didn't even realize it was a mystery. I figured it was just some random person never on the show. But I saw an FX ad online that said "Who is the Carver" and then I realized it was supposed to be someone we've already seen. I'm too scared to go on Nip/Tuck forums and see what they think because someone'll spoil it if they have inside info.

and the male model admited witnessing him put a condom on?

ah, forgot about that. but with Nip/Tuck you never know. it could be a woman with a sex change, or that's pre-op transvestite.

we know the Carver is bi, which is why I think it'd be too easy for it to be Dr. Costa. Basically the only thing I got going for it not being him is its too obvious. All the clues point to him.

Could be Christian. The eps showing Christian being carved are misleading though. Maybe it was just a manifestation of his fantasies?

The carver did make sure to cut Sean shallow...so maybe Christian just took it easy on him?

It's either Costa, Christian, or Matt. Has to be one of the three.

I'm still convinced that Costa is the one they want you to think it is. Even on this episode, who was the one person it didn't account for at the end? Liz and Christian were at the hospital with the gas to put you under. Sean was cutting himself after Matt had left. Costa was the one not shown for the longest. And they had the thing with him being "bi-sexual." And Christian was supposedly ass****ed.

It is interesting. I loved the ending tonight though. And I loved that the ***** who cut herself was conscious during surgery, although I'm pretty sure that was an allusion to an old Tales from the Crypt episode.

....The thing that's weird about Christian supposedly being raped by the carver is that he showed no physical signs of anything when examined. Would they really screw the show that way by making Christian the Carver though? Matt is too little to be the Carver. The guy looks fairly tall to me and Matt is just a little fella. It's got to be Costa. And yeah, I was glad that ***** go it in the end too.
