  • Most impressive 1st round KO.

Taking into account the level each guy was fighting at when the fight took place.

    Tyson-Spinks
    Ali-Liston
    Liston-Patterson
    Louis-Schmeling
    Marciano-Walcott

    Any others?

    Edited: Cuevas-Hearns was a 2nd round KO, I forgot.

great round, BUT in all reality Holt shouldnt have gotten the win... it was a headbutt that inevitably put Torres out IMO

Looks like a right hand that shook him. I can't see the headbutt. Is it when the camera is behind Torres' head?

it was a legit punch that put him out, but it was a headbutt that stunned him

watch this, at like 1:23 torres blocks a left from holt but gets a forehead in the chin and stuns him... then gets finished

Joe Louis vs Max Schmeling II for sure.

You are probably thinking Liston-Patterson and not Ali-Patterson.

                  Topic:
Ali-Liston for me. Forget the phantom punch. The result was a shocker. The rest on the list was all expected to win albeit not in that fashion.

Agreed. Louis was dominated in the first fight because he didn't train. Came into the rematch with an ailing Chappie Blackburn who told him "I don't know if I can make the steps" to which Louis replied " you only need to make them one time". He than went out and served up one of the most brutal beatings in ring history while stopping Max in less than a round.
