I don't know why, but I really freaking like them. Not for everyday use, obviously, but for the gym, lifting heavy, and for helping out my flat feet. Apparently they help develop the muscles within your feet and lower legs that go dormant because of the lack of use.

without the heel support like normal running shoes they force you to run on the balls of your feet which will make you run with a natural gate....supposedly
