  • Floyd Senior's prediction was just as good as Naazim's

I believe it was in the final 24/7 episode, Floyd Senior gave his prediction on the fight, saying that Mosley would be very jittery with his hands. Floyd Sr. even acted out how Mosley would look like on fight night -- and he was exactly right.

Mosley's head was ****ed after the 3rd round on and his hands were jittery and he literally couldn't even throw punches.

I am not sure if anyone else noticed or thought about this during the fight, but I definitely did..

Yeah he was scared of Mayweathers speed, I think he was shocked at how much faster Floyd was then he was because I remember him saying he was just as fast as Floyd or faster.

Yeah I kept Floyd Sr's words in mind also. I thought about how he said that everyone was going to be surprised at how much of a mismatch this fight was going to end up being.

Not only did he say that, but he also said on the show after with Jim Lampley and Jack Mosley that when Shane was a light weight he threw punches in bunches with rhythm....and that now he just throws big shots. He was right there too...Shane was looking for the one big punch rather than sticking to the good work he did in round 1 and 2.

I didn't see that, thanks for pointing that out.

              Good stuff.

Pretty insane how accurate the predictions were by both trainers (I know Sr. isn't the trainer, but still).

Floyd had him scared to throw. Floyd made Shane prove he could play D.

Shane had no idea where the punches were coming from.

Floyd Sr. was on point, but if you didn't know that Shane was gonna fight jittery going into the fight then you need to watch some Shane Mosley fights.

I'll leave the thread with part of this paraphrased Naazim quote "People think this kid Mayweather's some coward... but as soon as he gets punched in the mouth, he's gonna spout a tail and some claws and turn into a dragon. He's gonna start sitting fireballs..."

Shane couldn't/wouldn't do what Naazim told him to do to avoid those fireballs, so those are moot points (if you're gonna try to discredit). The left jab to the chest they've been practicing (look at the mittwork) is what allowed Shane to land the big right hand that hurt Mayweather in the first place.
