    looking for neck workouts.

Lol fair enough. Yes, google would be a good idea.

I already know of the bridge, that wrestling one where you sort of flip over into the bridge, various ones I can come up with just moving my head around when I'm standing, neck situps with a weight brace. I know a lot of neck workouts, what I'm looking for is either the routine of a fighter with a great chin like tyson chuvalo or tunney who improved his dramatically, or from some experienced fighter.

        "CARNIVORE-TWISTS

Let me be honest with you: I have never done this one myself. But it's a perfectly valid way of training your neck, so I'd be stupid not to mention it. The reason I haven't done it is mainly that it's not a "gym-exercise", but rather a home exercise … And I've always been able to achieve the desired effect in the gym. For someone with a less well-equipped gym, it might be worth a look.

The basic idea is to get a good and elastic rubber-like string, like the inner tire of a bicycle tire or a slim bungee-cord. You get the idea. Whatever you chose though, I strongly suggest that you get a NEW item. You'll see why. The stance is on all four on the floor, with your bungee-cord/tire/whatever in one or two paws. Err… Hands. Bite down hard at a point where you'll get a good range of motion, and pull with your teeth as if you were a dog ripping off meat from a bone. You get the idea - an upward/backward/twisting motion, holding the other end of he item steadily against the floor. Do I need to emphasize "steady"? Ever seen a Tom and Jerry cartoon where Tom tried to sling something at Jerry, but got a good slap in the face instead? Well, I think you get the idea. "

        and for the whole article,

I got all kinds of neck exercises, they are critical if you are going to get punched in the face or are going to wrestle (mma). I learned these from mma trainers and martial arts guys. I would start by doing neck 2 times a week and get up to every workout.

It's best to have a partner. If you have one, bring a towel and lay on a flat bench with your head off the end. Partner wraps towel around your head, and provides resistance while you move your head up and down, then do it on each side, then with the towel around the back of your head. Those are neck flexions. They are awesome and you will see results pretty quickly. Use your experience with the resistence but you want to do 2-3 sets of at least 10.

by yourself, its best if you have a harness you can load up. sit on a bench with elbows on your knees and loadit up and move your head up and down. these you can use on the sides too. go slowly with the weights, starting very light.

if you dont have a harness, you can use one of those balls. put it against a wall and lean your forehead against it and support your whole body, start with 20 sec and work your way up to 45-60 sec. then do a bridge on the ball supporting yourself with only the back of your head for the same amt of time.

if you have no harness or ball, use a padded bench.

thats all you need as long as you incorporate trap and upper back work to help to be able to take punches, headlocks, bridges, and wrestling holds.
