Hatton had 2 blackeyes during sparring!
Just watched the Arreola vs. McCline fight and during the break (waiting for the Wright vs. Williams fight), Hatton was interviewed by Jim Lampley. Lampley asked Hatton what's up with the blackeyes - both eyes and they looked like from a few days ago. Anyway, Hatton downplayed the welts by saying that they (the blackeyes) just show how intense his sparring sessions are.
The last time I saw a boxer preparing for a major bout with black eye from sparring, was Oscar Dela Hoya. He was preparing then for Manny Pacquiao for the Dec. 6th 2008 fight we all know our Pacman won.
