  • Oscar should forget Floyd, Hatton should be next, followed by Cotto/Wright/Trinidad

Oscar should forget Floyd, Hatton should be next, followed by Cotto or Wright or Trinidad.

Oscar looked good, but no where near great or near his old self. Forbes, great chin accompanied by a thick body, put some nice hand speed on Oscar. But class wise, Forbes isn't anywhere near Oscar. But Forbes is a short thick fighter, Oscar had 2 times to lay him down, but went straight back on to his toes or got disrupted/thrown out of his rythm by Steve when Steve would try to come forward. I mean Oscar completely let him off the hook numerous times, plus Oscar gave up on punching for a about 3 of the last 4 or 5 rounds. He did stop throwing his jab for a few rounds, and took some rounds off, and I just can't see him gettin by Mayweather in this next fight.

Now Floyd, with this layoff and his talents speed-wise and his pretty big lay off that he's had is giving his already fragile body a chance to rest. No matter who he fights next, Floyd is going to come out fast, and even more swift then ever. lol And honestly, Oscar shouldn't give Floyd the satisfaction, seriously. I mean if we still had the fresh Oscar that fought in the first Mosley fight, then of course, bring on Floyd. But the Oscar we saw last night, people want him just because of his name and his financial draw, and the fact he's older. But don't give anyone the satisfaction or the benefit of the name you built. lol Especially Floyd, dude has no Mosley, Whitaker, or a dangerous fighter like Trinidad anywhere on his record, lol I mean why give this joke a chance to milk off the name you ALREADY built?

Oscar should just forget about Floyd, and go for Hatton (or another name that would generate numbers and make a decent fight for the sport), then make his last fight with the other biggest name in the sport, Miguel Cotto (that's if Miguel gets past Tony). And if not Miguel, Winky or Trinidad for his third fight. Paul Williams is out there too, and I think think the Oscar we just saw would fair well against all 3.

I mean takin on a younger and faster Mayweather, lol A younger and faster Mayweather who hasn't even had to fight against the same caliber of opponents compared to the Oscar's and Mosleys, I mean this ass clown is just livin off of older guys.

Oscar doesn't have anything to prove, he's fought the best our time has seen and made a fight out of every single bout he's been in. To take on Floyd ESPECIALLY after the rest Floyd has had, is just rediculous. Floyd is going to show up fresh and swifter then ever if they meet for a second time. Really fresh. I mean why give Floyd the satisfaction? Floyd is that same douche that cried after beating Gatti just cause he knew he was on a major HBO event lol, the guy has a father who taught him well and he still holds a public grudge against him, Floyd isn't "the bad guy," he just wishes he was, truth is he's just a drama queen and a douche bag in every sense of the words lol.

Oscar for as old as he is, he did incredible against Mayweather. And if Mayweather didn't look lame against the likes of Baldomir and lame in the early rounds of the Judah fight, people would hold that first fight with Oscar in higher reguard then the first Castillo/Mayeather fight because Mayweather wouldn't have lost any of his aura.. But since the world saw how lame Floyd was against Baldomir and Judah( I mean wow, Floyd is fast, and can pot shot...lol "cool." Not really..) The world wasn't exactly moved when they saw an old Oscar man handle Mayweather.

So **** Floyd, forget him. Take Hatton for another tuneup/serious test/PPV bout, then fight the guys/guy that Floyd wouldn't fight. That will go further for Oscar's career then fighting Floyd.

Floyd chases old guys and their names, Oscar should chase the younger guys that fighters like Floyd won't even fight. Dude only wants your name and fame, I say leave the leach out to dry.

    1 word. Money.

And it's not like he doesn't have a chance in hell against Mayweather, his chances are slim but stranger things have happened in boxing.

lol Yeah, Oscar did say he wants to be a billionaire, but I thought I read some where that he barely had 100 or 200 mil or somthing. I don't know..

**** the money though, he should play his last 2 fights with logic. He should forget Mayweather, Floyd is like the one of those nurses at the nursing home trying to steal from the elderly and sick that live in the nursing home. Oscar is ripe for the picking, in his eyes.

Oscar should show some self control, accept the fact he's not as sharp as he used to be, and match his talents with fighters who are similar.
