Camacho was born in Puerto Rico. His family moved to Spanish Harlem in NYC when he was a kid. As dumb as this sounds, I think the fact that he knew and spoke pretty good english, would come out to freestyle music during some of his ring entrences pissed his haters off. They want u to speak strictly spanish and come out to salsa music only. Or atleast that's how they made it seem. I was born in PR and moved here to NYC when I was 2yrs old, so when I go back, I always have a bunch of haters. I see we both have that in common. And Oscar was a beast too. Yeah he was American born but that shouldn't be the reason to dislike him so damn much.

He didn't live up to his full potential due to partying, f*cking a bunch of girls and sniffing Coke. Probably another reason he doesn't get much love. He had the ability to be the best PR fighter ever man. Great defense, great hand speed, decent power, dude was a problem. He fought with less aggression after the fight with Chapo but he was still a great fighter. Moving to NYC made him who he was and a lot of Boricuas from the island didn't like his style. Even when I go to PR, they say I'm like a Nuyorican but they can't take away the fact that I was born there just like Camacho. They just mad I got a swag. Lol.

That's true. Its probably for a few reasons. #1 he moved to NYC at a young and repped Spanish Harlem as much as Puerto Rico. Believe it or not but Boricuas from NYC don't get along with the Boricuas from PR as much as people would think. I was born in PR but came to NYC when I 2 and going back and forth from NYC to PR, I've seen the beef first hand. #2 they didn't like his style, like the way he acted and dressed. He was a bit ****y and flamboyant but was an excellent fighter. Underrated if u ask me. Fame and drugs really got to Camacho though. In his early days, he was the f*cking truth!!!!! #3 a lot of Boricuas sided with Chapo (Edwin Rosario) when they fought. Felt like he represented the Boricuas from PR and Camacho represented the Boricuas from NYC.
