yeah i know. i was talking to another person on here about how the confrontation at the miami presser between rios and abril looked set up. abril did beat acosta who brandon struggled a bit with in the beginning. he ended up knocking him out nevertheless. not sure if this ppv will be successful, both rios and jmm are fighting overlooked opponents.
but i expect jmm to take over after a couple rounds and end up schooling rios into a late tko. same with martinez, but hopefully it's early/mid rounds. he shouldn't even let it come close to going the distance. if it does, it's an obvious robbery.
man, that took me a bit of a while to answer. i'd be completely pumped for both, so it's hard to say. but if i had to say what fighter am i more worried about and what fight really puts me on the edge of my seat, it'd be jmm/rios. cause jmm is older and might get into a brawl with rios. and getting into a brawl with rios is the last thing any fighter should be doing when it comes to facing bam bam.
damn, that's tough to say. both marquez and martinez are my favorite fighters. chavez and rios are both seen as tough chinned brawlers. i think rios is the more relentless fighter though. chavez's chin hasn't necessarily been 'proven'. i mean zbik did bust him up a bit and he doesn't have any power. chavez is just the bigger fighter come fight night and just tries to bully you. martinez ain't going to let him do that.
with jmm, he's older and has been dropped by katsidis not too long ago. rios's power is probably a lot lot more than that of katsidis's. i think rios has proven he's got a good chin against guys like acosta, antillon, and murray. jmm is obviously a different beast but i think the fight could go like jmm/diaz II or jmm/katisidis. but if they go toe to toe, rios imo has power to stun jmm and perhaps drop jmm a couple times, which i think some refs might wave it off if it gets brutal for jmm.
we'll see when the time comes. i mean his trainer is always hating on him in the broadcasts, i'm sure he's licking his chops to get a shot at martinez to unveil his gameplan he has probably already thought of.
