Oh ok, well that's good that we're talking then. And when I saw the HUGE following that Hatton had, I got the sense that boxing was REAL BIG over there. Actually, it was amazing to see the support that he had behind him. That is very rare here in the States. Like when I saw the 24/7 and Hatton had the Brits singing that Ricky Hatton song, I though that was awesome! And I think that is mainly the case because it something that I hadn't seen here in America.

Oh ok, thanks for the rundown on Skysports. I had the thought that boxing was bigger than it really is over there. And my guess is that after Floyd fights and beats Manny, that he would walk away for good. The ONLY thing that could possibly bring him back is the number of zeros on an contract offer for a rematch with Manny.

Is that right? What exactly does SKY sports cover? I'm not too familiar with the network, but I see UK posters talking about them alot.

And I agree with you on Floyd's legacy. I don't really see anyone outside of Manny and Sergio that would really enhance it. Whatever happens, I'm almost certain that the Amir Khan fight will happen later on next year though. I can just feel it. And, if they had it in the UK, it would be HUGE. You also make a good point about Floyd fighting longer than he should. Hopefully, he managing his money right so that he doesn't HAVE to keep fighting when he is clearly past it. But something tells me that he will know when its time for him to really hang them up. Guess we will see.

I hear you man, and the magnitude of that fight will unmatched for a while. But hey, something may work out for me if that happens down the line. Guess we will see.

I think that is one of the things that separates him from other fighters, his training habits and his preparation. I can't wait until the media videos start floating around with non stop footage, they never get old to me. And to see him take alot of time off and come back and still train at that level, is very impressive.

And I agree, if Floyd takes Ortiz to deep waters, I think he will drown him. But as you said, I expect a unanimous decision. If the Manny fight doesn't happen for whatever reason, where do you he should? I'd love for him to move up and fight Sergio, but I just don't see it happening.

Yea, I know. That is what I really wanted to make it to this fight. Oh well. And the demand for the Manny fight will be TOO much and I can tell you now that I'm not ready to spend that kind of money for a ticket to see them fight.

But its funny that you echo the same thing that others say about his work ethic. I'm always amazed to see it on videos, so I can only imagine how it looks in person. I agree with you, I think he will have Vic backing up around the mid to late rounds in this fight. And when that happens, I hope he gets a stoppage because I was sure hoping that he would stop Shane once he really got going.

Nope, unfortunately I haven't been able to see him fight in person. But last year when he came to the Devon-Matthyse fight, I saw him up close. Dude is little.

And I agree, I think Floyd will look fantastic on Sept. 17th. The layoff always comes to mind, but I don't think that it will affect him that much (if any).

I hear ya. Then I guess I'll see him when I see him. LOL. Thanks for the congrats on the new baby too. I originally was going to go, but when I found out my schedule for my football team (I coach high school), it just didn't work out. But I would love to take a vacay out to Vegas with the fight to finally see Mayweather fight live. Oh well, I'll be throwing a party at my place for it. Based on what I know about Floyd and what I've been hearing about how he's been looking, I expect him to put on a hell of a performance. I'm more eager to see how Ortiz reacts to actually being in ring under those lights with millions watching and having to fight the best fighter in the world (IMO), you know what I mean?

I'm doing good bro, thanks for the run down. I've been extremely busy with work, graduate school, and coaching and my growing family (my wife is pregnant with another baby..this will make 3 for us) so I haven't had a chance to really sit down and watch much boxing. But when I get a chance, I'm going to check this guy out.

Are you going to make it over for the Floyd-Ortiz fight? (I thought I might have seen you post something about possibly making it to that fight)

Your from the UK man. How do you see Cleverly vs Bellew playing out? Does Bellew have a chance. I recetently heard people saying mismatch. Thoughts?
