it was good man the undercard was fantastic Leo Santa Cruz and the Rosado-Love fight was great and the Mares-Ponce de leon fight was awesome until the stoppage. The main event was eh Floyd is so talented and just on another level. Check out the fights for the show in Aug. the rematch between Mollo-Spilka is going to happen.
sorry to hear that, bro. hopefully everything turns out okay and you don't have to spend too much money. lots of good fights happening this weekend. not sure if you have both showtime and hbo at home, but it's a good night to stay in and enjoy the several cards happening. khan/diaz (with wilder/harrison) on showtime in the afternoon (fights are in the uk), and quillin/guerrero, garcia/judah later that night on showtime. on hbo, arreola/stiverne (not sure what time) on hbo and then later abregu/decarie and martinez/murray. that abregu fight should be real good. also, on univision (basic spanish channel) they should be showing raymundo beltran's fight in texas. he's a lightweight who beat hank lundy and ji-hoon kim recently.
yeah, we'll see where alvarez goes from here. my guess is cotto in september. the angulo/lara winner would be ideal, but the money from a cotto fight seems like a hard one to pass up. we got marquez/bradley happening. mayweather says he'll be fighting again later in the year. martinez/murray, golovkin/macklin, and chavez/vera all taking place soon. we should have a really great MW fight later in the year. hopefully 2013 turns out to be a great year for boxing.
it's brutal here in august. hopefully since it's taking place in the nighttime the temp is good. hopefully not a lot of mosquitoes and humidity that night. just thinking about those possibilities bums me out, haha, hopefully 8 count/round 3 put on a great card. talking about memorial day weekend, i was going to say if a fight was taking place that saturday, we could meet up and check it out. but just looking at boxrec, the only thing taking place is froch/kessler 2 in the uk and pascal/bute in canada. not much.
i thought alvarez/trout was a close fight. i had trout winning, but i'm not really bothered by the outcome. the open scoring actually ruined the fight for me. alvarez basically took the last couple rounds off because he knew he had it in the bag. that one judge was blind. it ain't texas without some controversy, haha. i think alvarez/cotto happens next. easier fight to make than a mayweather one, and it sells with cotto's puerto rican following.
sounds good, i'm def willing to hang out whenever you're in town. hopefully something's going on during those days that we can go to. are you still planning to go to the august card at u.s cellular field? i was talking with mayweather41-0 today, he said it should be a good night of boxing. i'm hoping 8 count can have some good matchups that night. i think they will, this is a big card for them and the city.
