  • Anyways, it's all up to Turki. One of the biggest fights we just saw was not even a title fight. Who gaf about titles now? Tzsyu vs Ortiz is not a title fight. Again, the question still remains why would Crawford fight Ennis at 147 when he's moving up to 154?

    Point is why complicate things?...

  • Anyone would like to clarify the confusion? Which weight would Crawford vs Ennis take place, 147 or 154?

It's quite clear to me that Eddie Hearn, who now promotes Ennis, didn't mean it to happen anytime soon. I take it that collecting belts at 147 is Boots' top priority. Seems clear to me that he meant the Crawford vs Ennis to take place at 154.

Why are people still insisting it should happen...

  • Protected from who? He got all the accolades in the world when he beat Prograis in a Matchroom card. How is that a mistake?

Protected from Ryan Garcia? They've been pursuing Garcia since time immemorial. Besides, Eddie Hearn is like a long-lost relative to the Haneys. They couldn't wait...

  • Sandor Martin would be next for Haney, according to Hearn. I believe it's mandatory defense for his title.

  • Fans should enjoy what's happening while it lasts.

Who would have thought Tszyu vs Ortiz would happen this early?

  • Crawford won't be going back to 147. It's obvious. Fight must happen at 154.

  • He can still come back and beat Ugas levels of opponents. Danny Garcia might want a rematch at 154. Tons of fights at 154 to dance with. Lubin, Mendoza, Bohachuk, Gausha, Ramos, Trout, Arias, Harrison, etc. He can then move on for Ortiz, Tszyu, Fundora, Crawford, Charlo, Madrimov, etc....

  • Floyd is not capable of diffusing the situation. I thought that was his aim in calling Bill. Out of the blue he says, "Bill, Bill, if your son is undefeated in the gym, congratulations, you have an undefeated fighter in the gym... I'm under the light kind of fighter.. Bill, Bill, Bill, can i ask...

You guys still not sick of fighters in their prime waiting around? You want Ennis to wait for Garcia who just said a while ago he'll be taking some time off?

Not necessarily a bad thing. People have to have passion as long as it's harmless on others. You're a vegetable if you don't have passion....

It's actually not only people directly or indirectly involved in the sport or the business side of it. You see it here right in this very forum. You see 60 yr old posters still making threads hating on some fighter/s. One even change his mode of writing making it appear he is still twelve so he can...

  • Spence's was more defined because he didn't have the habit of holding on to the opponent's waist. Haney's instant response is hug and therefore there's not much to see.

  • Not exactly garbage, but truth is Haney's a dirty fighter. Not the worse, but he does things like trying hard to sneak in punches while holding. Well, it worked against him last night and got dropped with a vicious combo.

Probably why he prefers to hold on to the opponent's waist so he...

  • I'd be curious to know who Haney would pick for his come back fight. This is what I had hoped would happen. Haney didn't go through what Loma-levels went through. He was fed with fighters that gave him half-baked development. It may not be ideal, especially business-wise, but it is better to get exposed...

  • Could be worse in the rematch for Haney. He'll just have to hope Garcia's mental state is worse.

Haney can't go much farther if his main defense when the going gets tough is duck low and grab and hold the opponent's waist. It's like what an average person would do in the same situation....

  • You need to list names. I'm not one of those.

That's why you don't join bandwagon automatically, whether it includes veterans, top 10s, P4P. Their guess is as good/bad as yours. You rely on what you see, not what others see. I see and hear Porter and I thought what made this guy authority...

  • Ryan Garcia would get blasted by any decent established fighter if he can't get rid of that silly ass shoulder roll defense. A prime Kavaliuskas would send him to the emergency. You can't just fight in spurts against an aggressive past paced fighter.
