How well do you think Edwin Rodriguez does against Ward? One thing I've noticed, Ward hasn't really faced anyone that can throw short hooks on the inside. Rodriguez seems to have shortened his punches a lot, I like his left hook, especially to the body.

I like the discipline, that he's committed to his style and didn't go out of character to get his in...especially against a limited light puncher in Malignaggi. That's so commendable, especially for a 23 year old because when he faces Matthysse or a big puncher, he'll already know what he needs to do.

Matthysse continues to prove that the hype is real but I still think his ability to fight inside is in question, people don't seem to bring this up. Matthysse can crack but once you got an opponents' offense down, and can get close enough to smother them; work 'em close, which I'm certain Broner can against Matthysse, I don't doubt that Broner can make this fight look easy.

Very good point on the odds, a lot of money can be made in the future.

Did you notice this, when Broner fought with more urgency he didn't struggle to get Malignaggi where he wanted but this is where Broner went wrong, and I'm sure you picked up on it too, when he would trap Malignaggi against the ropes he would rehearse his attack somewhat; there was too much posturing and that allowed Malignaggi to escape successfully. The showboating, taunting and being dismissive of his opponent...that needs to stop.

That said, he looked good, and at 23 he's only gonna get better technically. The physical tools aren't all there at 147 so he may need his body to grow, he can still handle plenty of WWs though but 140 should be his best weight.

We got a bunch of trolls runnin' around currently, it was an easy fight to score.

Broner may not move much but a good counter puncher can afford to be stationary, I don't think Malignaggi is gonna be getting off successfully, or at least not without eating leather in return. I'm picking Broner to stop him in the mid rounds.

Franco is terrible, and I do mean terrible. He doesn't move his head and loves to get into exchanges, I'm surprised at some of the comments I've been hearing.

I swear I hate how Guerrero squares up, I think this right here should be a blessing, I hope he studies his mistakes and comes back stronger. Initially I liked Guerrero because of his aggressiveness, his right hook, I liked how he worked inside, his ability to box however has never sat well with me, it's good to change ones approach but when you don't excel too well at one thing, it's best to do as very little of it as possible. His boxing is terrible, brings his right hand back low, as you said...he's squared up for the right hand, when he came out like that I knew how it was gonna end. It wasn't that style of Guerrero I fell in love with.

Quillin is the goods, just that I thought Quillin looked fatigue for most of his last fight, much more flat footed as well. I don't know what the deal was but his performance against N'Jikam, those looked like clear signs of someone struggling to make the weight. Luckily for him N'Jikam's style is reckless, or that he was able to muster up enough strength to land those powerful lead left hooks. I'm sure you saw this as well. I mean N'Jikam still managed to make it somewhat close, competitive throughout which is shocking considering the many times he hit the canvas.

Guerrero could be inconsistent at times with his defense, so I shouldn't be shocked if Quillin manages to put him on the canvas a few times, but if he comes defensively responsible...I really like his chances to win.

Many are sleeping on Guerrero too, which is surprising. I think Guerrero the aggressor is better defensively too, so I hope he takes it close predominantly, then box if it becomes harder to get in.

Guerrero can beat Quillin very easily, and I do mean very, but his survival instincts, defense better come together well enough.

Really hurt watching that, I guess this is it. I'm certain he'd win the rematch but most likely that isn't happening, even then Joan has far deteriorated.
