Lmao.....that's what I'd have knocking at my door? Stop with the internet tough guy stuff. You try and threaten posters on this site with that BS all the time. Anyone who needs to constantly do that is an insecure little flea. All this tough guy talk because you CANT produce anything showing...Slugfester likes this.

Holmes made 3x as much against Evangelista as he did against Norton and 5x as much against Shavers. Just an interesting fact....

So, when did Norton ask for a rematch after he lost the eliminator to Shavers? Should I wait forever for you to try and find something?
And let's not forget Holmes courage fighting with a torn bicep even after doctors told him to postpone the fight for 4 months....Last edited by JAB5239; Yesterday, 02:41 PM.

He says the same thing over and over as if it's going to make it true. He can't explain these flaws he speaks of. You've asked, I've asked, others have asked. I just want to know how lateral movement has advanced. I cantwait for that one!!...billeau2 likes this.

You're going to tell me about guys like me? I already know you know nothing of guys like me when you claim to have more combat sport experience. How do you know this? I don't believe I ever said you said Wlad smashed Sanders. I said he never tried to rematch and posted an interview with Sanders himself...

You're more than welcome to come to my doorstep if you'd like, i can PM you my address. And you can hound me all you want. What you can't do is show me Wlad actively looked to rematch Sanders.
I'm not rooting against you. Contrary to our opposing views I hope you win. But hey, hound away!!...Slugfester likes this.

You can't refute the facts. And you're wrong about Norton, as usual. He didn't get the rematch because he got starched by Shavers, who in turn got a title shot. Shavers-Norton was an elimination fight. Do your homework....

Germany. Klitschko, who had an impressive record of 40-1, with 37 knockouts, at the time of their fight. Wladimir seemed to have no clue whom he is was in the ring with, because he showed no respect for the hard-punching southpaw. After a brief feeling out period in the 1st round, Sanders opened up...

You gave me a link of an uncoroborate source making a claim. I gave a source of Sanders himself wondering why Wlad never sought a rematch. So everything I said was not proven false. What is all this "swift downfall"talk? Is that meant to be menacing? Because seriously, it's not......at all....

How did I pick the wrong side of the fence? The fact is Wlad never pursued a rematch with Sanders. You can't change that or prove otherwise. Show me a single article stating Wlad looks to avenge loss to Sanders. Any paperwork drawn up for a rematch.? There is nothing. I have opinions on many things,...Willie Pep 229 likes this.

So by your reasoning of him being only a single belt champion we can take off 11 of Wlads defenses for only being WBO. We can also look at Holmes 12 defenses compared to Wlads 11 as lineal champion and Holmes 20 consecutive title defenses compared to Wlads 19. So try telling us again who was closest...

Marchegiano can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe what he meant was their styles don't mesh with what you're use to seeing today on film. Just because a fighter has a different style doesn't mean he can't or would t be effective. I've proved this with the Foreman-Lyle video. Two of the best...

Look at this advanced lateral movement. See how these guys don't leave themselves open and throw themselves into one another. A fantastic display of fighting from range. One of the greatest heavyweight champions vs one of the greatest heavyweight contenders showing flawless and silky smooth skills!!...

I don't think Charles is that far ahead, but I do have him as the best at 175. I took a minute to look at some of the ratings of the IBRO. They go by votes with point values for each place. While I didn't going thru the anything under featherweight, it appeared at a quick glance Willie Pep had the furthest...Willie Pep 229 likes this.

The way I interpreted it was the fighter with the furthest distance from the next greatest fighter all time in respected division....

Jones is an enigma. He either didn't spend enough time Ina division (160, 168) or didn't have the competition to put him above others at 175. Pound for pound he was an incredible talent though. The ability was there, just not the longevity and or competition. Same with Calzaghe. Excellent fighter,...billeau2 likes this.

Larry Holmes had consecutive defenses without losing. I personally think Ali and Joe are neck and neck....
