I have left the state employment to pursue more capitalistic employment ventures, got tired of doing a better job and having everyone get raises at the same time that most of which didn't deserve and people making twice as much as me because of their seniority.
That is a good example for a smaller early man type civilization where there is no way someone could end up with the discrepancy of wealth we have today between elitists and people barely making enough to live every week. Nothing wrong with what you presented but society has become complicated compared to the small scaled example you presented where someone provides a good, pays workers to help, and sells the good to amass wealth. Most people of extreme wealth produce absolutely nothing today and just trade around make believe currency.
No one gets wealthy by themselves it takes constructs of society(all of us) to allow anyone to become wealthy in the first place. If they don't like a small chunk of their wealth to go back into the pot they can simply leave society and try to live on their own or better yet society is made up of the masses so what of enough people just want to kick an exceedingly wealthy individual out? It is not inherently that individual's wealth to begin with, that person only has it because of the system in place which allows it to happen so don't you think that person owes something for the privilege to be permitted to live in such comfort?
It only happens because the masses say its ok, though what if it goes to an extreme and maybe a handful of people have all of it and I mean all of the nation's wealth? is that ok with you?
