if murray doesn't fight/lose to chavez or golovkin later this year, i'd like to see martinez rematch murray. tbh i think he can beat murray way more convincingly in a rematch.
i think golovkin beats the martinez that fought murray that night, but i honestly don't think that's martinez at his best (or current version post chavez). i think the martinez that fought chavez/macklin beats golovkin, he just needs to train as hard as he did in those training camps. we'll have to wait and see how he does in his return, hopefully he trains as best as he can for it. all the factors that were there that night (murray fight) makes me want to believe martinez has more left than what he showed.

i watched it a second time around. i didn't score it on paper, just in my head, and i gave martinez 7 rounds. rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 11, and 12. murray took the rest (5, 6, 8, 9, and 10). it was basically lederman's card but just rounds 5 and 7 switched around for the other guy. have you seen it a second time? from the second viewing, i thought the scorecard that i came up with (7-5 martinez) was pretty fair. maybe i have to rewatch round 4 cause the telecast got messed up due to the weather that night and cut some seconds off of it.
yeah, i think a lot of factors went into the fight. he didn't train in california from what i read, he had that messed up hand, and he probably overlooked murray. he didn't look in great shape at the weigh ins and on fight night imo. it is what it is, martinez needs to take some time off to recuperate and see how he does after a good layoff and well rested.

i only watched it live, and i agreed with what lederman had. i have to rewatch, but honestly, i think martinez won at best by a point. such a close fight. what did you have it? you think martinez is done, or just had a bad night (other factors like injuries, weather, etc.)? i think he should go on a long break and come back late this year or next year and see how he does with a well rested body.

yeah, it seems like macklin has a big ego. so is he fighting golovkin in june for sure? i remember i posted a video of arum saying dibella is planning on doing that fight, but then you replied with some quotes about macklin saying he wants a tune up first. now i see some new threads about macklin/golovkin is practically a done deal.
not sure what barker's planning to do, but it would be nice if him and geale fought over the summer. his recent win over kerry hope really seemed to boost his confidence on what he is capable of doing post martinez. that would be a good fight, or perhaps martinez/geale later in the year with chavez/golovkin happening as well. i just saw a thread where chavez said he's down for the fight. it seems like all of a sudden everyone is mentioning golovkin. ward, martinez, chavez, and macklin.

yeah, gabriel left martinez's camp in 2011 when they were training for dzinziruk. that would be crazy if he's locked up for 8 years. martinez will surely be well into retirement when gabriel gets out, that sucks. pablo, his brother, said that gabriel was the mastermind behind all the success, like he drew up the gameplans and really worked with martinez. he (pablo) just helped out and followed his bro's lead. i guess now they just stick with what they've been doing for years. i would have liked to seen him train other guys like fortuna or matthysse.

yeah, that's what i figured. were there even any articles reporting he was convicted of whatever he was facing? i think it was something like domestic violence/abuse. does anyone know how long he'll be locked up? crazy to hear even though that's what i kind of assumed. i don't think sergio or pablo even want to address it. has anyone ever tried asking them about it? i know pablo gave a vague answer to a reporter after the dzinziruk fight, but that's obviously a while ago.

Gabe was posting at DHB and he was posting with diamondsmuggler that it was FACT Floyd was not doing CIR testing, on top of that, he also claimed Foyd set the cutoff dates for blood testing and that he did not do longtitudinal testing.

    ALL FALSE.

USADA published a letter referencing the falsities.

Gabe also erased SEVERAL posts bad mouthing Floyd and the USADA in order to cover his tracks, I know because my posts were deleted as well (They were exchanges between he and I in the HGH thread)
