I'm not an expert on Napoles. I just did some research on him and found he had some early fights at featherweight. It does seem as though Jose fought well under the welterweight limit. It's interesting to note that he was outweighed by Monzon (in his only middleweight bout) by almost seven pounds. It's crazy to think that "Mantequilla" took on arguably the greatest middleweight of all time with that much of a weight disadvantage. No catchweights for those guys! lol I've seen footage on Youtube of Napoles. He was a pleasure to watch -- skilled and powerful, 54 KOs in 80 wins. Very impressive indeed. It must've been a treat to watch that guy in his heyday.
You're welcome, brother. Pretty amazing to have watched Jose train and spar. Always nice to be witness to greatness. The Canelo-Lara fight promises to be very good, I think. The way I see it, may the best man win.
with fans like you he doesn't need haters. you just trashed the **** out of both pacquiao and Bradley. are you to stupid to realize that? THROWING A FIGHT IS AS LOW AS THE COME AND SAYING pacquiao needs help to win is also an insult and you know it. why don't you quit starting threads because you really such at it.
Trout is ok but when I have a favorite fighter like Canelo, GGG or Pacquiao I always root for them 100%. I hope Canelo and GGG never fight because I would hate to see either of them lose. Canelo looked great in his fight with Angulo and I don't think he will lose again. When Baldomir paid Canelo big money for being over weight Canelo gave him the money back and not many fighters would be so generous. It's good to hear from you.
Right on! Yeah, he's a very humble and respectful fighter. I think people tend to forget that because he is so popular. Not to mention the skills he has for a 23 year old. In Jalisco when he fights it's the same as say Manny Pacquiao in the Philippines, everyone is watching the fight. Did you have a hard time choosing who to root for when Canelo fought Austin Trout? He's from New Mexico also I think.
