    Hi Barn,

We both have similar feet! I've a flat arch and warm up by stretching my toes towards me leaning into a lamp post for 10 reps. This stretches the mid foot and is a good preventative measure for plantar fasciitis (the pain in the midfoot felt by low arched runners!).

The best trainers I've had recently that offer a good arch support are Saucony fast twitch 6.

They are light and very fast; but bear in mind that you might get a bit of skin rubbing in the mid foot due to the arch support for a few days. They are optimised for a good mid-front foot strike so they'll probably do wonders for your running form over time.

A great trainer on a budget that is v comfortable for longer runs is Adidas Duramo. I take those on 16+ mile runs.

    28 is a bargain!

    Best of luck mate

hey sugarj! long time no talk!

I was wondering if you had any tips for people with flat arched feet. I didn't have the proper shoes for it before and my feet ached horribly but I'll hopefully resolve that issue soon with a new purchase. but from all your running experience i was wondering if you'd experienced this yourself or had running team-mates with similar issues and could drop some knowledge! i really want to run but it's just not fun when my feet start killing after a mile and a half.

    thanks a lot.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. Actually TheGreatA has a youtube channel and I've just visited the page and watched two of his videos. Should come in handy!

BTW were you surprised when I said 2 months?

    2 months

I feel threatened in the "History" section

I'm trying my best, but I quite often struggle to express my thoughts. Sometimes I don't have the knowledge to reply. That's the problem because I like this section more than NSB (hell house) but I'm apprehensive about my boxing knowledge.

Should I stay in the history section, or NSB which is more "newb" freindly but infested with parasites?

    Hi D33Pwaters,

About 20 years or so. That said I started collecting old fight films on VHS which go back to the turn of the century, which formed most of my education.

I wasted hours watching the classics over and over when I had far more time than now! I'm as much a fan of the Tunneys and Johnsons as the Robinsons, Ali's and Jones Jnrs.

    How about you?

How long have you been following the sport?
