sounds like a great night. happy to hear you enjoyed and were able to see a group like steely dan live. i have only really listened to their first couple of albums. especially 'can't buy a thrill'. it's an absolute classic. my favorite song has to be 'only a fool would say that'. i need to check out more of their work when i have time. i'll surely let you know what i come across.
have you heard of alabama shakes? i've heard their single "hold on" for a while now, but i finally had time to sit down and listen to their entire album "boys & girls". here's a youtube link to it. in the info, it posts their tracklist and time in the video so you can figure out which song is which. i've been listening to this album the past couple of days. they have a great sound imo. the lead singer is amazing.
oh, that's all good man. until next time. hopefully ratings and tickets are great that night so more fights are made here in the city. last sox card brought two fnf cards, one in the beginning of jan. and another at the end of feb.
i've been good, man. how about yourself? just working and trying to get mentally ready to go back to school, haha. hey, what are you doing on the 23rd? Mayweather41-0 and i are planning to go to another white sox park card. it's another fnf telecast too. don george vs. dyah davis for the vacant ibo smw title. you think you'd want to go? it's been too long since we've hung out. if you want, send me a text. i'll def reply faster than on here. i hardly log on anymore.
I think wikipedia say Sun Sa was "abducted by aliens" from Saturn, and they gave him "instructions-influence" on how to better convey his-their message through music. He had his name legally changed to Sun Ra.
I don't know much about Coltrane, but Cliff did record with his wife Alice. He told me quite a bit back then, but i don't remember a lot, it was a long time ago.
Interesting subject though, most of those bop era guys did herion at some point in their careers. I get wikipedia results when I do a search. But it's clicking on the imbedded links you learn more. I'll have to go check it out now, you got me interested...lol.
The link is kinda disappointing to me. They only play a limited amount of songs, and it sounds terrible on my pc, but great on my home theater. So for only live music when i do listen.
Other stations sound great through my pc. Does it sound the same on yours? Kinda muddled and tinny. I tried the graphic equalizer software with the pax/creative sound drivers (very good ones) but it don't help much.
