Who do most Cuban fans think was their best fighter ever? I'd give Napoles the edge over Gavilan and I never saw film of Kid Chocolate. I'll see if I can find some. Maybe Rigo is in the running also.

His best days were long gone when he fought the great Monzon and he was too small for Monzon even in his prime. For a while he was the number 1 jr. lightweight in the world but he could not get a title fight there either. He was prone to cuts so he lost a couple of fights on cuts when he was easily winning the fight. I hate for my favorite fighters to lose but they fight the best so it happens. I'm glad you did the research and liked him.

Napoles was really a lightweight but the lightweight champions would not fight him so his promoter got him the fights to win the welterweight title. He usually only weighed about 142 for his welterweight fights. He was a great boxer and a great puncher.

I forgot to tell you the great Cuban fighter Napoles was my favorite fighter when he was active. I used to go to the main street gym in Los Angeles to watch him train and spare for his fights.

Thank you my friend. I was a big Trinidad fan and I am a big fan of Rigo and Lara. I will be rooting against the skillful Lara next fight though because I an even bigger fan of Canelo. Great fight.

"If anyone was going to do anything, they would've done it by now."
I think that guy (Fidel) has so much power that it's probably beyond belief...
"Fidel will die like us all one day. You can't hide the guy's death forever. lol"
But I think it would be better to prolong it and have people convince THEMSELVES that he's already deadd so that when the news actually come out their reaction is like "oh well, I already knew this."

    Idk man... Lol

Yea let me know what he says. I know he was seen alive after he was in his "deathbed". But as of late we haven't heard anything about him and like I said my friend said you don't hear anything about him over there either. Well, maybe they don't wanna reveal him being dead cause they probably fear half of the country will "rebel." Idk man it's hard to tell if it's gonna change or not. I mentioned in a thread not too long ago that his brother mentioned he was willing to deal with the US. I mean I guess it's gotten a little better over there with people having internet access and cellphones now. But I think all of that started while Fidel was still alive (assuming his dead).

Next time I talk to my dad, who lives over there and is closer to the situation, Im gonna ask him what he thinks as well.
