Yeah they are real good. Like you said, I have only heard a couple songs so far, but I like everything I heard. Thanks for the link, I'll check that album out right now.

Man Steely Dan was great Friday night. They are definitely one of the best live bands I have ever seen. My mom was actually the reason we went to the show. She was a huge fan of them in college and really wanted to go see the show. I only knew their radio stuff, which is good, but the songs that aren't on the radio are even better. The lead guitar player could play with the best of them, they had three chicks singing backup who had great harmonies, and a 4 piece horn section which the trombone player is a professor here at the U of I. Such a great show. If you don't know much of their stuff you should check it out. I think Aja was the name of the album they played a lot of songs from, and it is highly talked about.

Same here. I won't be able to make that card unfortunately. I got plans to be in St Louis that weekend.

I read a some random twitter/blog comments from Argentina from around the time of the loss, and a common sentiment was that he selling smoke [arg expression for smoke and mirrors/snake oil I think] and that he was pure marketing, when the only fights they've seen were Chavez and Murray. So it's ****ed up to see him retire with that rep in his country.

It may be just wishful thinking, but I think Lara ends up outclassing Canelo. Lara's amateur pedigree will end up making the difference. People have been making too much of those Angulo KDs. I thought Lara outclass Angulo besides those two rounds. Plus he showed good enough recovery and survival skills in case Canelo does drop him.

Cotto will probably fight Canelo regardless if Lara ends up beating him. He's not getting anywhere near Lara.

Absolutely painfull and depressing to watch. I was thinking "Any minute now Martinez will turn on", but it was soon evident he really did not have much power in there to change the direction of the fight. Maybe a farewell fight against a bum in Argentina at most.
