Go after the other belt holders (not sure if Sven Ottke would have fought out of germany or not, don't fault him there). not even just them, just guys in the top ten. Off the top my head there were top ten guys like Antwun Echols, Librado Andrade, Mads Larsen, Danny Green, Otis Grant, Anthony Mundine, lots of guys like that were availible. But most of his title defences were guys outside of the top ten, often waaay outside. In fact he only fought 7 guys ranked in the top 10 in his 21 title defense. That's the same as Sven Ottke! That's why people thought he wad a joke before he fought lacy.
