I'm not sure if it's the commentary, but quite possibly the combination of it, crowd reaction and the sound of the punches that could prove to be the difference. That's not to say that going mute is always the way to go - a friend of mine watched a fight through a glass screen and thought it was the best fight ever. A few days later watching the replay with sound, ambiance and all that... completely different fight (and not in a good way).
Done, sorry about that. I watched it muted when you first sent, but didn't have a chance to rewatch w/ volume on until early this morning. Just sent you two separate PM's, with reports under both conditions.
I agree. The thing I found most remarkable is how split people were among those who were actually at the fight. I know some people who had Devon winning 8-4 (which I don't even think Devon believes he won by that much), and some sitting right next to them who had it as far as 9-3 for Kotelnik.
there's no disputing that it was his toughest test to date, and also his least impressive performance.
It's not a bad score. Of the 5 people I asked, 2 had it 2 points for Alexander, one had it a draw, one had it two points for Kotelnik and one had it six points for Kotelnik. Just a tough fight to score I think.
