I was in Teo's corner right up until his post-fight presser vs. Kambosos where he sounded immature and delusional. I know fighters aren't thinking clearly right after a fight, but he doubled-down after the event. It was a net-positive in terms of his bank account, but a net-negative in every other way....Last edited by kiaba360; Today, 07:47 AM.

I defended Teofimo's purse-bid move too when it all happened, but time was wasted for that extra $$$ he made...and it was just a mandatory title defense. Didn't Teo not want to travel to Australia when Triller requested it? I don't remember all the details. Triller gave up, and then Teo had to fight...

...and then Teo proceeded to make things difficult with the Kambosos negotiations...but it all blew up in his face.
Team Teo exude this "me against the world" energy which can make them unreliable narrators. Everyone is a potential enemy. TR/ESPN, DAZN/MR.......everyone else is...

If it plays out like Clegg thinks, then it'd be safe to say that Jermell is doing PBC's bidding. If it reaches a purse-bid stage and PBC/Jermell pulls out, best believe that Hearn is going to use that tidbit to fuel other talking points. Assuming something negative happens in regards to the Crowley/Ennis...Last edited by kiaba360; Today, 12:48 AM.

...even Canelo/Munguia is arguably a better match-up, and that's two weeks after Haney/Garcia. The fan interest in Haney/Garcia is stemming primarily from the chaos and drama, but the main event and under-card is lacking substance imho....dan-b likes this.

...or until Bivol was no longer under Matchroom. It seems like that's what they were waiting for: an in-house match-up...._Rexy_ likes this.

Remember in another convo when you said that Haney didn't expect the Prograis fight to be PPV? The bold is exactly why I don't believe him. Unfortunately, Haney is probably gonna become a predominantly PPV fighter....

I think the seeds are already planted to blame Haney if the fight doesn't do well, in order to protect Garcia's marquee value...especially if he loses....

I understand his sobering view of the situation and I don't doubt that he means it, but anything can happen in the ring...and Dubois is not THAT bad of a fighter. I think Hrgovic will win, but the pressure is already high....there's no need to add even morepressure by publicly contemplating retirem...Last edited by kiaba360; 04-16-2024, 12:08 PM.

I think it's too soon to declare Ryan Garcia as a major PPV attraction because the sample size is too small. Davis/Garcia is one fight, let's see if he can continue having success....and if he continues to lose, will those losses begin to negatively affect his drawing power.Last edited by kiaba360; 04-16-2024, 10:51 AM.Bronx2245 likes this.

A lot of fans rely on the promotional companies to tell them who is worth watching. Promoters are perceived as content creators/curators, and boxing fans began choosing sides based on various reasons.dan-b likes this.

I really dislike when guys say they'll retire after a loss, seems like unnecessary pressure to place on one's shoulders....Last edited by kiaba360; 04-16-2024, 07:23 AM.

I think MR would prefer if Dubois beats Hrgovic because Dubois/Joshua (all-British fight) makes for a bigger Wembley main event. AJ/Hrgovic is a more difficult sell....

From Matchroom's perspective, I would think that Wilder/Dubois are more preferable for a Wembley main event than Zhang/Hrgovic. Hrgovic really needs a stand-out performance here....

I'd prefer Dubois/Wilder too, but Dubois/Hrgovic is sensible matchmaking from a rankings standpoint. I really don't like what Zhang/Wilder could potentially turn into, but I understand its value. This might be the last chance for both guys, so let's cross our fingers that they leave it all in the ring....mlac likes this.

That would've made more sense if the 5v5 was in the UK. It's a shame Yarde and Smith weren't available....
