  • Comments Thread For: Froch vs Johnson Eyed For March, April in America

According to reporter Boris Krosnova, WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch will likely defend his title against Glen Johnson in March or April of next year, and the fight will be staged at a venue within the United States. Froch-Johnson is a semi-final bout in the Super Six Boxing Classic. The winner is going to face the Andre Ward-Arthur Abraham victor in the finals. Froch has not fought in the United States since last April's TKO of Jermain Taylor. Johnson is a late replacement for the withdrawing Andre Dirrell, who Froch decisioned in the first stage of the tournament. Froch can always make a substantional enough offer to bring Johnson over to Europe.

Great news! Please let it be in the US! Not Europe!

One would have to think they would bring that one to Nottingham for Froch, although Miami would be nice in March.

Who the phuck is Boris Krosnova? What does he know?

That the fight is to be staged in the US isn't news. That was part of the original agreement. Had they agreed that the fight was to be staged in Europe THEN it would be news.

Carl Froch has balls and will travel.

Lucian Bute is a raging p*ssy.

Froch is a real man. Travels to fighter's countries and backyards, doesn't duck anybody. A real pro, I think everybody in world-boxing can learn from him.

I hope he wins the super six and beats Bute. Then moves up and wins titles at 175. I think that would be enough for him to get into the Hall of Fame. He deserves recognition.
