  • Comments Thread For: Don King Planning a Big Cruiserweight Card For March 19?

Reliable sources have informed BoxingScene.com that Don King Productions has plans for a big cruiserweight show at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on March 19th. Boxrec.com has posted the fight for the vacant IBF title between Steve Cunningham and Matt Godfrey but hasn't listed the undercard. The title became vacant when Tomasz Adamek moved up to heavyweight. King is rumored to have Wayne Braithwaite, Francisco Palacios and Ryan Coyne from his deep stable of cruiserweights also fighting on the card. [Click Here To Read More]

What the article doesn't say is that it'll be March 19th, 2011, keeping King's fighters shelved even longer.

          Where's Guillermo Jones?

How long can he keep the WBA cruiserweight title without defending it?

He's doing an MMA fight in Tokyo in April probably. Square Ring is dicking around with his career. When he is offered a fight they want to take 60% of the purse. I'm not kidding. It's sad. So they're at odds and they have no shows coming up to put him on or even thinking about getting him an opponent. You'll see him tomorrow night as a fill-in for Teddy Atlas.
