Need Your advise. About E. Coli? My daughter suffer from diarrhea for 2 days now. Her doctor advise us to have her stool examine. The result came and found that E. Coli was present in her stool. I was very worried her doctor told me that it can be cure through medicine as detected earlier the better. We bought 2 medicine SEPTRIN and FUROXONE which should be taken for 7 days. But I'm still worried bcoz I read about E COLI in the net and it is quiet serious. Do i need to send her to the hsopital for confinement? Though I was told that we should observe her first within 3 days there should be an improvement but I can't wait for 3 days to make sure that my daughter is very much OK. Please advise what should I do.
You can buy your Furoxone online from online pharmacy.
she needs to stay hydrated. no food till the diarrhea stops, so give her all the fluids she can drink -popsicles and gatorade mixed with water are best. wash your hands well after touching her. scrub your house thoroughly -all handles, light switches, bedding, etc. follow up with the pediatrician.
Everyone has E. coli in their intestines, it is a normal part of the intestines of most mammals as a matter of fact. The problem is that there are strains of E. coli that do things they are not supposed to do and so thy cause sickness. Even if you put her in the hospital they could not do anything more than you could by keeping her at home because it will take a while for the medicine to have an effect. So, you should keep her at home and give her the medicine and observe her yourself. You keep the doctor updated on what is going on and if things are not going the way they should then the doctor will change something.
She should be fine at home as long as you keep a very close eye on her and keep her hydrated. The biggest problem you need to worry about besides dehydrated is Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. So keep a close eye on her urine output and if it suddenly decreases or she becomes lethargic bring her in to a hospital asap for blood tests.
Follow the advice of your doctor. You can't confine her at home? Exposing her to sick people in a hospital sounds better to you? Everyone has e. Coli in them. Your daughter's grew out of control. Don't have contact with her stool, wash the hands frequently, and stop worrying.
