Jay-Z at number 1?!?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAA!

Jay-Z shouldnt even be in the top ten, when you've got:Slick Rick, Chuck D.,Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Scarface......LMAO.

This list, IMO:

5.Jay-Z
4.B.I.G.
3.2pac
2.Nas
1.Rakim

Everybody thinks differently, perfect example of that. I personally don't think hes #1 even though I consider him my #1 favorite MC of all time. I do think Hov is top 5 though. You just don't like his music too much, I can tell by your past posts.:D Its all good though, different tastes for different rap fans.

Rakim
Nas
Kool G Rap
Scarface

Chuck D
Slick Rick

B.I.G.

Ten MC's that I believe are better than Jay-Z. Top 20? Definently he'd make it.

eminem hasnt dropped anything classic since the slim shady LP so he shouldn't even be in this discussion

"ass like that" is enough evidence to leave him out of the top 20

The Marshall Mathers LP was legit. Everything after that was average other than his guest appearences and D-12.

I'm a fan of Jay-Z, as well, but Gza is superior. On a related note, how funny is it that Jay-Z always calls himself 'the greatest rapper alive'? Why is that funny to me? Because he always has to say it, because most everyone disagrees. I'm not hating, I've just heard better.

Lyrically the Seventh Seal will be crazy.
Flow-wise, it'll be a self-ownage CD.
I don't think Ra can use today's flow with his lyrics.
If he could flow like Jay-Z, I'd give him head.

Well, I don't mean flow exactly like Jay Z. I just mean, if he had a modernized flow combined with his lyrical abilities. You mean to tell me you wouldn't give him a blowjob?

Your wish is my command. Here is Rakim with a more modern flow on a single released not too long ago produced by Dr Dre

Good stuff.
He showed pretty good flow.
If he would've attacked that beat more aggressively, it would've been better, but that's not Ra's style so I gotta respect that.

Jay z shouldnt be in the top 10 not alone number 1. But thats my opinion. To me he bites way too many of big and other rappers rhymes and he hasnt done anything too drastic in hiphop. He hasnt been good since his fallen for that destiny childs b##ch.

1) L. Ron Makaveli (started to open up a portal in the time-space continium)

2) Notorious BIG (definition of an MC; MASTER)

3) Rakim (The Lord)

4) Eminem (ante'd Jay-Z on The Blueprint)

5) Nas (allegedly defeated Jay-Z in battle)
