who wins this, i say The Truth by late KO

View Full Version : Carl Williams VS Hasim Rahman Dye 11-27-2006, 08:09 PM who wins this, i say The Truth by late KO Yogi 11-27-2006, 08:25 PM Both have the power to expose each other's chin as a weakness, but William's overall talent level was at least a level above Rahman's...not to mention that my memory is telling me that Williams' achilles heel may have been the left hook (Weaver, Tyson, Morrison, etc...Williams generally kept his right hand lower than what he should've) and not so much the right hand which is Rahman's best punch. As long as he fights a fairly disciplined fight by using his superior skills & boxing ability, Williams should be the favourite and would probably win by about a mid round's KO/TKO...But then again, that may be too much to ask of Williams, who did have a tendency to not fight a disciplined outside fight and instead elected to trade on a number of occasions (it's a pick 'em in a shootout). Dye 11-28-2006, 05:57 PM Williams was a masterful boxer is his prime, he is underacheived Dye 11-28-2006, 05:58 PM I go with the ROck, he has a ko win over Lewis after all. yea but Carl has a controversial loss to Larry Holmes who is better than Lewis K-DOGG 11-28-2006, 08:36 PM Carl "The Truth" Williams, in his prime, was a far better boxer and a far faster boxer than Hasim Rahman could have ever hoped to be. Williams achilles heel was obviously his chin, however, he was subject to being caught with left hooks far more than right hands....which is where this fight would be decided. Rock's fabeled weapon is the right hand he caught Lewis with; but that has disappeared since, failing to rear it's ugly head. Williams jab would keep Rahman at a manageable distance for the duration of the fight; and, in the end. Williams would have his hand raised by way of a relatively easy decision.
