Listening and reacting to every song as I write this:

1. We got it for cheap- nice beat, average rhymes, over saturated coke/crack/dope rhymes. 3 out 5.

2. Momma I'm so sorry- terrible beat, even worse hook, decent verses.2 out of 5

3. Mr Me Too- sick, SICK beat, decent verses. 4 out of 5.

4. Wamp Wamp- odd, tolerable beat, sorry hook, average verses. 2.5 out of 5

5. Ride Around Shining- decent beat, weak verses, especially Ab-Liva's. Isnt that the dude from Major Figgas? Terrible. "The black martha stewart"? OK, we know you guys cook coke/crack/snow white/powder etc., but that's just garbage. 2.5 out of 5

6. Dirty Money- straight beat, weak chorus, decent verses. 3 out of 5

7. Hello New World- solid beat, one of the WORST hooks ever. What the **** Pharrell? decent verses. 3 out of 5

8. Keys open doors- unique, decent beat. annoying hook. decent verses. 3 out of 5

9. Ain't Cha featuring Re-Up Gang- o.k. beat, terrible hook, boring verses for the most part. 2 out of 5.

10. Trill- CRAZY BEAT, nice verses, decent hook. Best song on the album by far. This is some good ****. 4.5 out of 5.

11. Chinese New Year- recycled sounding but dope beat, decent verses. Roscoe P. Coldchain is so average. 3.5 out of 5.

12. Nightmares- decent beat, boring hook, solid verses. 3.5 out of 5

I give this album a 3 out of 5. 3.5 at best. In no way is it a "classic", or "best" album of the year. It's an above average worth checking out, that could have been better if these 2 could rhyme about something other than drugs nonstop.

What's so different between Clipse & Little Brother? Think about that for a second...and then think of all the praise Little Brother gets.

Same with them, the album that put them on "The Listening" was ok, "Minstrel Show" was average, and they do get too much recognition also. Especially 9th Wonder. No disrespect, but all of his beats sound the same.

Heard it about a month ago and thought it was horrible.

Little Brother has put out 3 great albums in a row. Clipse isnt on their level.

Forgot to add that I was really looking foreward to this after Mr. Me Too dropped. Dissapointment to say the least.

The new album was ok but I didn't quite care for the beats.

The album was awsome, I love Clipse rhyme style and all of the beats were on point and different. Best album of the year IMO.

I gotta agree.

The Clipse are rappers who amaze me with the words they put together.

"I pedal to the corner like a child in a big wheel" that says it all.

I'm still not seeing how this album is getting such acclaim. "Momma I'm so Sorry" is garbage, so is "Wamp Wamp", "Hello New World" has one of the worst hooks in history, "ain't cha" is lyrically weak. Other than those tracks, it's solid. So of 12 songs, 8 are straight. 3.5 out of 5, at most.

Good, solid album that I enjoyed, but I wouldn't call it a classic in any sense of the word.

I loved the first half of the album, the rest was okay.Yeah they talk about drugs money, etc. But I like the album alot in the same way I liked Kanye's first album, unique beats, hooks and lyrics a little diffrent from the norm.

nah gotta disagree I think this album is dope. I really like Momma I'm So Sorry and Hello New World. Especially the last verse on Hello New World that's some heat. And I thought Nightmares was a perfect ending to the album.

This is decent, above average, but no way this is a classic. Nightmares, Mr.Me Too, Chinese New Year are the only tracks I liked...also too much Pharell for guys that talk about coke this and coke that.

How the hell did XXL rate this (and Lil' Kim's Naked Truth) 5 mics? I'll never know...
