Can Vera's skills overcome Sylvia's size? How would this fight go about?

personally i think brandon vera is gonna take it to silva, its not that i think silva is a bad fighter i just think that the faster hands of vera will connect with silva's jaw before silva can fire his right hand. Not to mention that vera has awsomes knees as was recently displayed against mir and sherner. He is also not afraid to throw kicks which is all but forgotten in the heavyweight division. He is also a wrestler. All in all vera is a better fighter imo then silva and i think that he is ready for the step up. The only thing that i can see that would give him problems is silva weight.

Sylvia is a waste of space. He is not knocking out Vera.

Sylvia is training with MFS remember that, hes always a threat and does not hold the belt cause he's ****.. He may not be an exiting fighter but what he does works and give credit to that.. Or start calling all his competition **** like AA and monson, the guys that lose to him...

Sylvia will not have much of an advantage with his reach on vera.. If vera can work leg kicks and take tim to the ground he can take the fight..
But can he hold the belt?? I doubt it.. UFC needs more peeps in the HW division and it's my guess they're gonna bring in a few experienced fighters to dethreon tim and hold the belt for a while..

If Sylvia lands a few of those big, ugly looking bombs, Vera would be sleeping on the canvus. His size is too big of an obstacle for Vera.

The entire UFC heavyweight division is weak in my opinion and having Sylvia as the champ is proof.

That's why I like the PRIDE heavyweights. They are willing to risk losing in order to win.

I kind of think so as well but in that last fight he didn't exactly prove it because he didn't really do anything. That's what I mean when I said that the UFC heavyweights are afraid to risk too much. Even the fight between Sylvia and Monson proved it in my opinion.

No they shouldn't.. AA really did nothing to win that fight.. IMO that was a lame fight due to both fighters being waaay to cautious..

they should have dedicated that belt to the fans for surviving such a lame dance.. come the 5th round i was praying both fighters would come out dizzy and just fall over just to have that ****ty fight end..

AA does not deserve a title shot, not after that performance..

......Vera used to work with my little brother for a while. He says that he's a real good guy. One day when he was heading home from work and some big black dude starting talking **** to him on the road for something he had no clue about. It almost came to blows but the guy must have had some kind of sixth sense because he got back in his car and shut the hell up. He was very lucky he did, as Vera would have obviously stomped the **** out of him.

well i like vera but he isn't going to out box silvia, you think vera is a better striker than arlovski? Knees? maybe a flying knee. either vera is going to make a boring fight of kicking sylia's legs (and hope sylvia doesn't kick him in the head with one of those stilts) and outlast him (which from his past fights doesn't look like he can do but the size issue always brings that into question) or the rightfull and deserving hw champ is going to smash his face in.
