IMO if he stays at WW in the UFC he'll be the next frank trigg.. I say either he moves up or moves on to fight somewhere else.. Get an MFS fighter in pride that would be nice...

What about gsp?? now that he is champ, why does he want to fight for a 30$thousand belt when he cna go to pride and get a belt worth double the amount??

who can challenge gsp?? diego?? haha i think not.. serra, nope your next dominant champ is GSP.

Hughes will probably take a rubbermatch with St Pierre but I don't see anything changing. St. Pierre is better than Hughes.

If Hughes couldn't take St. Pierre's punches then he would get crushed by Silva's punches.

GSP did what Penn should have done.
Glad Hughes lost. He is overrated.

he should go to 155 and dominate for however long he dominated 170

Fight BJ Penn. They both stopped each other. They need to settle that score. He could also go ahead and fight Dirty Sanchez. Old lion vs young lion deal.
I'm stomped on St Pierre deal though. He fought almost everybody going up to the belt. Now he has to fight them again.

think the fight contract had a rematch clause from what I hear may be a rumor, but most of your champions demand it.

To me Hughs is a little nostalgic, I think athletes are improving St Pierre for instance is an advanced athlete compared to Hughs. I give him props for being the champ he was, but UFC needs better athletes with Pride making a mark in America. Way to go GSP

i thought BJ is going to 155? and even if he isnt, he will be three fights down the line for GSP. Serra, Hughes, then BJ. Rumour out now is that GSP will fight serra at 67 on Superbowl weekend as well as Anderson Silva defending against lutter

LOL first off UFC is having a show before NYE pride will be on sunday UFC on saturday.. So no superbowl show unless it's an UFN(highly doubt 2 ppv's within weeks of one another.)..

I heard something that bj will be staying in the ww division.. Mayybe he feesl he is better than both gsp and hughes, or he feels he has a better shot at gsp.. either way he's wrong..

Dana White has already said that St. Pierre and Silva will both be defending thier titles against the winners of TUF 4 the day before the Superbowl which would be February 3rd. Plus earlier this year he said they planned on having a ppv show almost every month next year.

No rematch clause, and when asked in post fight Dana did not seem to excited about giving one right away.
Hugh's when asked if the low blows hurt him he replied not in the groin but in his leg, kind of tells you they were not so much low as painful. He also said they did not affect the fight and if they did, more so for GSP as he had to check his kicks after the second complaint by Hugh's

Well, my reply is being taken as a declaration against GSP, but it is actually against countrybreakfast Hughes, since the thread subject is "What's next for Hughes?".

Hughes will have to fight someone before getting his proverbial crack at GSP in Montreal, and it might as well be Baby Jay. I understand that BJ says he will be out for awhile, and there have also been reports of his desires to move to 155 again, but I always think it is a possibility. The TUF fights are going to be easy money. Ridiculous ... unless they have other interesting fights on there, I don't think the tickets will move.

****, he didn't even know what he got hit with. He thought it was a punch that put him down. It was a kick. He looked beatin when he entered the octagon. Almost looked like he was just tired of all the challenges and wanted to hand the reins down.

PPV every month?? UFC can barely produce a decent fight card every 3 months.. I'll believe that when i see it..
as for the ppv date.
Dana white says alot of things, do you remember the wandy/liddell incident??
well see what happens.

aww man here comes the excuses. thats they worst excuse for a loss I've ever heard. He got beat cause he jus aint good enough to beat GSP, he wouldve lost the 1st fight if gsp wanted to win it. He lost the 1st round but got caught in the armbar.
