Hi all. Recently joined on the board :boxing: and also recently been working out alot more using boxing work outs etc.

Only problem is im getting alot of shoulder pains due to most of my work outs using my shoulder muslcles. Is this normal or am i working this specific muscle group to much? I work out about a hour 5 times a day due to my job and my shoulders are looking a bit inproportion to my chest and other muslce groupe. I also get shoulder pains when sleeping and wake up often with pins and needles and my arm being numb.
any advice? thanks

Oh right. Bout 4-5 months. Dont normally get the pain when working out, normally in the morning but feels more like bone/joint than muscle pain if that makes sense :/

Dont normally get that when working out, normally after. Ill just live with it then and see if it goes.
Im fine on the bag, i try to get out of doing push-ups :) and do light weight high rep drills instead

Just work them out with light wieghts. I got wrist pains a ton when i started boxing cuz of hitting the bags n ****. Boxing is a lot more physically demanding than most sports, so it takes time for your body to adjust. Also you might be punching incorrectly caushing your shoulder to be moved in ways it doesnt want to.

5 hours a day? Get more rest. The shoulder pain depends on whether it is joint pain or muscle pain. Quantity does not equal quality....

Yeah i used to get shoulder pains when i started up boxing again, but with a good amount of stretching and making sure to always warm up first it no longer happens.
