be sparse with your compliments, platinum matt, and theyll mean more to the person who hears them.

i have a rule of thumb that when im on dates, never make more than one compliment, so you dont sound like a sniveling ***.

That ain't worth stressin over. One can only assume somebody who been paid a compliment feels inclined to give one back on principle. Just shows the cat you gave props to is decent enuf to at least return the favor.
